Working on Travel is something artists often do. It is a collective experience, and at the same time not always visible as such. It has consequences for the organization of life: everything from who you love to where you live.
Working on Travel aka Trains and Boats and Planes is about the double edges of travelling, the pull and the push, on both an individual and structural level.
The project contains interviews with:
Author Ghayath Almadhoun, choreographers Amanda Apetrea & Halla Ólafsdóttir, managing director of Cullberg Stina Dahlström, circus artists Aino Ihanainen & Alexander Weibel Weibel, rope bondage teacher Gestalta Judd, visual artist Katja Larsson, choreographer Dinis Machado, artist duo Anna af Sillén de Mesquita & Leandro Zappala, choreographer Ofelia Jarl Ortega, musician Sara Parkman, performing arts directors Ebba Petrén & Gabriel Widing, actor Maria Salah, choreographer Uri Turkenich and choreographer Elizabeth Ward.
