Every year around 1300 people get some kind of brain tumour in Sweden. A person may suffer from a benign or malignant tumour, and the symptoms are similar for both types. In 2011, mother and project director Åsa Tönne was diagnosed with a malignant brain tumour. Her whole life collapsed, and a stubborn fight began – against the clock and against the disease. I’m not crying – these are just tears on my face is a book and a collaboration between Åsa and her doctors, family and friends. Åsa tells, in a personal and transparent way, her story – how she worked with incredible stubbornness, professional medical care, and amazing support, to struggle for her life. Today Åsa is cancer free. We have only one life. And it is our duty to care for and protect it. Through good and bad. – Åsa Tönne
